The United Kingdom's Advertising Standards Authority banned the 17-year-old's Marc Jacobs Oh Lola! ad, as they believe the image is too risque for a minor. The ASA said "We considered that the length of her dress, her leg and position of the perfume bottle drew attention to her sexuality" Also saying, "Because of that, along with her appearance, we considered the ad could
be seen to sexualize a child. We therefore concluded that the ad was
irresponsible and was likely to cause serious offense."
Perfume maker Coty UK disputed the ASA's ruling, saying they had yet to
receive any complaints about the ad in question. They also said the
perfume bottle placed in between Fanning's legs was "provoking, but not
indecent."
