Peter Facinelli To Produce Whitey Bulger Film

As many Twilight Saga Stars begin to dwindle onto new projects Peter Facinelli is no exception.Deadline Reports that nine months ago, Facinelli optioned the rights to the tell all memoir, "Street Soldier: My Life as an Enforcer For Whitey Bulger and the Boston Irish Mob," by boxer Edward MacKenzie, a former associate of Bulger. They already had a script written, but now, with last week's capture of the Winter Hill gang leader after years of hiding in Los Angeles, the film takes on much more prominence and importance.
The film will be told from the point of view of MacKenzie, who dealt drugs and enforced for the mob. Bulger, 81, was on the lam for 15 years; in 1995, Bulger was indicted for federal racketeering and for 19 murders.
Facinelli is rumored to be involved in another boxer film, "Paz," the comeback story of Vinny Pazienza
He is a man of many talents :)
